A wonderful achievement!

At the end of the 2015 school year, Hartford College said ‘farewell’ to our first Grade 7 class of children, many of whom had been with the school since grade 1 in 2009, when Hartford College opened.

Although the Grade 7’s chose a variety of High Schools to attend, (Marist Brothers Linmeyer, Grace Trinity, Pioneer Academy) the majority of them chose to go to BESA Leadership Academy – headed by Mr. C. Bowker.  During the course of 2016, many former pupils, popped back to Hartford College to say ‘Hi’ to teachers and friends and to tell us how well they had settled and how much they were enjoying High School!

This passed week, Mrs. Delport and I were fortunate enough to be invited to BESA’s 2016 Achievement Awards morning.  We are extremely proud to tell you that Kiyasha Govender, continued to mirror her primary school achievements with wonderful results in Grade 8!
She was awarded: Top of Grade 8 in – The Sciences, Life Orientation, Arts and Culture.  She received half colours, for the year, for an average of above 80% and an outside award from the ATKV for achieving over 75% in Afrikaans!

“Very well done Kiyasha – we are all so proud of you.  You have always worked hard and you deserve all recognition you receive”.
“I would also like to say thank you to all the teachers at Hartford College, who taught Kiyasha over the years – it is so heart-warming and satisfying to see the results of all of our joint efforts” (Mrs. N. Forbes).
